We meet for day and weekend meets and the occasional social meet.
A day meet can involve walking one or more hills and take in several miles. So a reasonable level of fitness is important and while the tops of most hills are walking routes some may require a bit of scrambling and a head for heights.
The walks are not led and we do not instruct, however the members are quite good passing on their knowledge and experience. The Club chooses where the monthly meets are based and individuals, small groups decide on which routes they wish to do. This has the advantage that a variety of walks are available at each club meet. Navigational skills are an advantage but are not compulsory.
The pictures below are just some of the huts we have used over the past few years.
